Nata and Evgeny are artists born in Lviv, where their creative paths crossed in 2012 . The musical project was designed to create a unique sound by combining traditional shofar performance with innovative use of classical guitar and electronic effects. The musicians use the sounds of percussion instruments, combining them with unique timbre and vocal technique. They bring out more variety from the shofar than anyone before them. Therefore, their original compositions seem to transfer this instrument from the old days to the world of the modern electronic environment.
The project, writing its own music, creating its own unique style and constantly experimenting with live performance forms, constantly surprises its listeners not only across Europe, but also around the world.
Since 2017, the band has been performing in various parts of Poland, as well as abroad, but primarily in Poznań, which has become a friendly home for them.
The duo is constantly experimenting with performative forms characteristic of live concerts.
These concerts were presented with great success at European festivals: Night of Culture (Lublin (PL)), Żupanski Festival (Poznań (PL)), Legendary Złotów (Złotów (PL)), Music Splitz (London (GB)), LvivKlezFest (Lviv (UA)), Simchat Chajim Festival (Poznań, Buk (PL)), Shawua Tow Fest (JCC Kraków (PL)), Wake Up & Live Festival (Sułęcin, (PL)), OSADA Fest (PL), WOŚP Final (Main Stage, Poznań (PL)), Regio Active Fest (Gryfino (PL)), Greifswald, Schloss Bröllin (DE)), PolenmARkT (Rostock, Greifswald, Ramin (DE)), KATAPULT (DE), Jüdische Kulturtage (Rostock (DE)), George Brassens International Festival (Berlin, Wandlitz (DE)), Klosternacht Fest (Regionalmuseum Neubrandenburg (DE)), and on theater stages - Teatr Ósmego Dnia (Poznań (PL)), Scena na Pietrze (Poznań (PL)), Teatr Boto (Sopot (PL)).
This spectacular combination of voice, shofar, various percussion instruments and electronically amplified classical guitar broadens horizons and provides a concrete, original and accessible exploration of the unique tones of the musical elements used. With a repertoire of songs that evoke a timeless and introspective atmosphere, Nata and Evgeny escape easy categorization and create a strong and fascinating emotional attraction.
Since 2019 the band has been a member of ZPTS (Union of Polish Art Creators).
In recognition of their noteworthy approach to the creation of new music, Nata and Evgeny in 2020 received the " Culture to go" Award of the Department of Culture of the City of Poznań, and in 2021 they were the winners of the scholarship competition of the City Council of Poznań.
In 2021 they appeared on the radio, and their singles were broadcast on the radio in the UK, USA, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, the Netherlands, Poland, including one of their songs reaching the TOP 10 "Song of the Year" in the United States.
They were also WINNERS in the "2021 CFAB DUO OR GROUP OF THE YEAR HONOREE" category (USA).
